My first short novel, Three Chords, should be released spring ’08, and can be preordered at RoseHeartBooks.com.

Like most novice writers, I was naïve enough to think it might make a good movie. To that end I spent a month last summer converting it into a screenplay. I know what you’re thinking, often times a movie doesn’t stay true to the book. I found out why. It’s because you have to convey the idea behind written scenes in the book to visual or conversational scenes for the screen, and that can’t always be done precisely.

That said, I think it came out well, and I’ve entered it in a couple of national contests that will finalize in the spring and summer of ‘08. Wish me luck.
